Soot Solutions Chimney Service started three years ago, but the story behind it goes back much further. Our founder picked up a trowel right out of high school and spent most of his adult life in construction and masonry. At 23, he got his first real look at chimney work and found something that clicked. The craft, the problem-solving, the direct impact on a family's safety at home — it all made sense to him in a way that's hard to explain and easy to see in the quality of his work.

For years, he sharpened his skills working under others, learning every part of the job from the firebox to the flue cap. Eventually, the decision to go out on his own became obvious.
